To study how the use of poetry to convey social messages has changed overtime and inspired by the works of famous Indian poets like Rabindranath Tagore and Sant Kabir, students produced some very thoughtful pieces of poetry addressing a value or social issue of their choice. This project gave our 6th standard students an opportunity to study the life and works of Sant Kabir and explore the impact it has had on the lives of present day poets and musicians.

They also combined their pieces of literature with visuals, thus learning Hindi typing and experiencing the use of technology to enhance creative expression. These were then presented to a wider audience in a poetry reading session on Grandparents and Special Friends Day at school.
